TAD: Colourful June: Red

Joining up with Rain's Thursday Art Date.

My interest in photography is primarily in documentation, so my aim is to make my photographs as accurate as I can in terms of getting them look like what my eyes see. Cameras don't see the same as human eyes, so learning how to take real-looking photographs has been a goal. However! Rain's Thursday Art Date gives me an opportunity to explore photography as an artistic medium. I can experiment with settings and software editing in ways I otherwise wouldn't! Very fun.

Last week's lesson in my online photography course was Advanced Edits. That link will take you to what I learned and my homework assignment. I continued to play around with it and here's what I came up with to share for TAD.

So cool, Leigh! It would be fun to isolate something like the bright red strawberry. My interest in photography is in documenting life. primarily with candid shots. It's very difficult for me to focus a camera, especially under lowlight conditions, so I have to rely on the camera to do that. If I had to try to do everything myself, I'd lose my shot. With my current double vision issues, I am absolutely a point and shoot photographer! I have so much fun with editing. Happy exploring your photography course! Have a great weekend!

Now that is something I don't know how to do! Very neat! I love that, I will try to find time to look into that photography course over the winter!!

Fundy, it was fun to learn, although I doubt I'll use the technique much in the future. Like you, I'm mostly into documenting.

I have to say that your point-and-shoot camera takes excellent pictures. And yes, it takes time to do a fully manual shot. I usually choose one manual setting and let the camera choose the rest, lol

Rain, the course has been excellent, and has really helped me take better shots! I like that it's self-paced, because I sometimes can't get to the lessons as soon as they come out. Especially, in the busy time of year!
